Winona,
We want to thank you for selecting "Maggie" for our adoptive pet. We ask you for a dog that would be gentle, house broken and playful with our 4 year old grandson who is very hyper active.
Thinking this would help him calm down we discovered ARRK's webpage, made our request and within a week or ten days, Maggie was in our home. She immediately made herself at home in the family van by riding between the wife and myself on the center console between the front seats. She loves to ride in the car and will want to go for a ride when ever the chance she gets.
Maggie took to her new home and family from the first day. She did not seem to miss the ARRK, sorry Winona, and performed her duties as house pet as we wanted. What surprised us most was within two or three days she felt so comfortable in the home and the surroundings she took up the added duties of a very good watch dog and seems to be very protective of the family not allowing strangers in the yard or house. This does not mean she has become vicious, just protective and will exercise her authority as "watch dog" in good fashion. I would like to mention Maggie and the grandson are bonding very well and like to play ball together. The grandson likes to feed her in a special bowl we got for her. She is such a pleasure to have in the house.
She has become a "Papa's" dog also and loves to be on my lap with the grandson. Both love to be pampered by Papa. Attached is a photo of the 3 of us lounging and watching TV, our usual evening pleasure.
Once again, Thanks Winona and ARRK for sending Maggie into our home. I will recommend you and ARRK for anyone who is looking to adopt a pet.

I’m sorry it took so long to get back to you. I am sending some pictures of Spirit taken the weekend before last. Spirit wanted up in Jim’s lap for the first time, so I had to take their picture. Spirit has learned “come”, “out”, “sit”, and now “muddy feet” so we can wipe her paws off when she has been out to potty; she is very smart. Spirit is always waiting by the door to the garage when one of us comes home to greet us and get some affection. Jim and I both enjoy that! We bought her a nice fluffy bed and Spirit spends half the night in it and the other half up on our bed with us. Spirit almost never scratches now, so I’m glad she got the cortisone shot.
Jet keeps trying to get Spirit to play tug of war, but I think she deliberately ignores him until she feels like playing. Most of the time their play involves too much running for me to get a picture, but maybe they will slow down before long so I can get a picture of them together. We have bought several toys, which Spirit promptly opens and pulls out the stuffing. A couple of the toys were supposed to be really tuff, but they weren’t Spirit-proof!! We don’t mind; we love Spirit very much and feel extremely lucky to have found her.

Hey Nona....just wanted to let you know how much we love Bowser and Travellar! Elissa and Jeffrey have changed Travellar's name to Bear because they think he waddles like a polar bear (hope you don't mind LOL) I felt, like you had said, that he might experience some depression...but that's not the case.
I don't think Maya and Bowser give him a chance to be sad. He is on the go ALL the time! If he's not wrestling with Bowser, he's rolling around on Maya. Speaking of Maya, the minute her and Bowser smelled each other, the instantly started playing. She is so happy now. Again, I just wanted to let you know how happy we are to have them in our family! Also wanted to let you know, that I made an appt for Bowser for Sat. morning for his heartworm check. They said you had called them about us. Thank you again!
